We
humans are blessed with wonderful inventions of language, memory and
imagination. We use these tools to create narratives or stories - of
the moment, the event, the lifetime. We invent stories to serve as
jokes, anecdotes and travelogues, as fiction, memoire or ‘fact’.
But deep inside, beneath these tools of human intellect reside our
deep Core selves, wordless, infinite and Known. And beyond
ourselves, in every couple or group we engage within is another
Core, the spiritual Core of the group. In this workshop we will
examine our stories and explore our Cores. We will ask if our
stories emerge from our Cores or if they are unrelated; if they
support our Cores or work against them. We will explore where our
inner stories come from, both as individuals and in the
relationships of our lives. Ultimately we will develop ways to
encourage stories that emerge from, reflect and support our Cores.
Tanis
is a loving energy healer and spiritual teacher who lives what
she teaches. She studied widely in energy healing and spiritual
traditions, specializing in esoteric training at the School of
Energy Mastery and shamanic work with Tom Brown Jr. She also
completed a four year program to become a certified Advanced
Energy Healer. Over the past fifteen years she has led groups
from all walks of life in integrating the non-physical
dimensions into everyday life. She encourages her students and
clients to develop their own spiritual style, welcoming all in a
cross-fertilizing process of collective evolution. She also has
a PhD in Economics and taught at Queen’s University for 20
years specializing in women’s issues. Her book The Whole You:
Healing and Transformation through Energy Awareness is in
publication.
