Spiritual
enlightenment and energy awareness are both empowered through
relationships with the higher energies. Knowing how to connect with
the Higher Self, as well as spiritual guides or masters is important
for both self-development and healership. Recognizing intuitive
input and interpreting it accurately requires skill and practice in
communicating with the unseen worlds. In this workshop we highlight
the role of intuition as the receiver for spiritual input, as well
as observing the different methods spirit can use to reach us. We
learn to recognize and receive incoming stimulus, and to
differentiate between the signals from different guides. We also
learn how to ask questions that can be answered. We then proceed to
learn how to by-pass the mind to interpret messages accurately. All
too often the mind gets in the way, certain it knows what a message
is before we give our spiritual selves a chance to really connect.
We cover some simple tools for interpreting without using the
already-familiar ideas of the mind. 
Tanis
is a loving energy healer and spiritual teacher who lives
what she teaches. She studied widely in energy healing and
spiritual traditions, specializing in esoteric training at
the School of Energy Mastery and shamanic work with Tom
Brown Jr. She also completed a four year program to become
a certified Advanced Energy Healer. Over the past fifteen
years she has led groups from all walks of life in
integrating the non-physical dimensions into everyday
life. She encourages her students and clients to develop
their own spiritual style, welcoming all in a
cross-fertilizing process of collective evolution. She
also has a PhD in Economics and taught at Queen’s
University for 20 years specializing in women’s issues.
Her book The Whole You: Healing and Transformation through
Energy Awareness is in publication.
